Children raised in Communist homes (UK) experienced ideas and images which were not part of the British mainstream. VM sought to depict some of the imaginary world of her childhood using the primary colours to create children's Playbricks (some in card, some in wood) with images from communist culture, illustrations from her story books, films she saw (Jeux Interdits) and pictures of her father.
